A briefly trip down memory lane
Villa Athina like its name contains a long history behind. Years ago, when holiday industry in Greece was in its early stages, the pioneers of Abram, the couple Aliberti, Efthimis and Athina were determined to start the family tradition in the realm of tourism. Their first step on this was the construction of a restaurant. Athina was a self-educated cook and she soon became known not only for her remarkable skills at cooking but also her resourcefulness to just make use of what was available that difficult times… At a remote destination like Abram used to be, she and her husband Efthimis provided special homemade dishes including ingredients/products entirely derived from their own vineyards, gardens, animals and certainly from the fishing.
On the property premises, anyone interested in tasting and buying Abram-homemade products now can visit us and get a direct access to our production.
For a long time, we have been told about selling our own products like our wine (in rose/or white color) and of course the raki, an absolute traditional-Greek drink for those who are wondering what are the definitely drinking preferences when a Greek rest or amuse.
With the Villa Athina logo on them our olives, (olive) oil, local honey and drinks are now available to everyone for purchase.

Later on, one of their sons Panagiotis Alibertis along with his wife, and new notable cook Evangelia continued a part of the family business. More specifically they still run the family restaurant by the sea, which keeps the name of the honorable “father” of Abram, our grandfather “Efthimis”. Yet, they handling of our extended, prolific vines and gardens too. Also, because of his love and devotion to the area of Abram, Panagiotis decided to build -on his own- this property, Villa Athina which preserves the name of his beloved mother and currently his daughter, and continuator Athina.
In light of this, Panagiotis still works all the year on the fruitful land of Abram, so now everyone would have the chance to taste or take as souvenir something of our production that follows with love the family tradition since the late 60’s.
